Roundtable: Main Gaps in Research Infrastructures in Central-Eastern Europe

On 7 – 8 March 2019 in Bratislava, more than 30 experts and advocates of research data in social sciences gathered to discuss the gaps in research infrastructures. The round table was organised by CELSI within the InGRID-2 project aiming to intergrade research infrastructures and making thus an evidence-based contribution to a European policy strategy of inclusive growth.
Specific databases and data harmonising initiatives throughout Europe have been introduced. Case studies from Poland, Hungary and Romania about the data available on specific topics and vulnerable groups, have been presented. The round table was also an excellent opportunity to discuss the role of administrative data and ways how to overcome the challenges in research infrastructures.
